An aircraft mechanic in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, Dawson Fuller has served as a repair technician with Applied Aerodynamics since 2020. He repairs military and commercial aircraft parts. When he isn’t working, Dawson Fuller enjoys fishing for bass. One of the best places to fish near his hometown of Argyle is Graveyard Branch.
A stream located less than three miles from Argyle, Graveyard Branch is a Denton County offshoot of Hickory Creek near the intersection of Bush Creek and Country Club roads. According to the independent fishing authority Fishbrain, the most popular species caught in Graveyard Branch is largemouth bass.
Other recommended fishing spots in and near Argyle include the upstream Hickory Creek Roark Branch and Country Club Lake. Both of these locations are good for catching largemouth bass. Fishermen on Country Club Lake also commonly catch rainbow trout, redear sunfish, and blue catfish using various spinning, baitcasting, and fly fishing techniques.
